Learning Objectives:
After participating in this educational event, participants should be able to address daily issues in acute cardiac care.
- Evaluate current and contemporary practice for patients with acute coronary syndrome
- Evaluate and manage patients with acute heart failure, including the use of contemporary mechanical circulatory support devices and ECMO
- Evaluate and manage patients with life threatening arrhythmias
- Evaluate and manage patients with acute pulmonary embolism
- Evaluate and review current data on primary and secondary prevention of coronary disease, including management of lipids, diabetes, hypertension and other risk factors
- Increase collaboration between different cardiology disciplines including cardiac surgery
